At Adbolton Kindergarten we provide five different nursery rooms, which are all well planned and carefully organised and decorated to create a cosy warm and loving environment, where children and parent/carers enjoy a happy atmosphere. The five rooms consist of: -

This consists of a group of 10 – 12 babies aged 3 – 10 months cared for by four experienced staff plus a junior nursery trainee. The staff aims to provide a variety of stimulating activities in a warm caring and friendly environment developing the babies all round development. The baby room has a flexible daily routine that can easily be adapted to suit each baby’s individual needs. Soft toys – play – cuddle – singing – stories – a walk, form part of the day.

:This consists of a group of 10 – 12 children aged between 10 – 15 months. Cared for by four experienced staff and provides the children with a variety of different activities, which promote the toddlers all round development. Toddler room has four areas, one is carpeted to create a calmer environment for floor play activities – singing – story and sleep time. The middle room is designed for art – craft – water – sand play and messier activities. The kitchen area serves snack / lunches and teas and some free play. Sleep room for children still using a pram.

:This consists of 8 – 9 children aged 15 – 18 months. Cared for by three experienced staff. The staff provides a pre – planned timetable, which is flexible and provides the children with a variety of different activities, the emphasis is on hand-eye co-ordination and language development. Nursery one has two areas – one is carpeted for floor play activities – story – singing and sleep time the other is designed for messier activities – snack times – lunches and teas.

:This consists of a group of 10 – 12 children aged between 18 months and two years. Cared for by four experienced staff. The staff provides a pre – planned timetable where the children are given every opportunity to experience a variety of structured and free play activities throughout the day. The emphasis is to promote language social and intellectual skills. Nursery Two has two areas – one is carpeted – for free play activities – story – singing and sleep time, the other is a kitchen area designed for lunch – tea – snack times and messier activities

:This consists of a group of 20 children aged 2 – 3 years old. Cared for by five experienced members of staff. The staff display a pre – planned timetable, which is flexible. They enable children to mix freely and benefit from the different skills of other members of staff. Here the children are given social skills – independence and self-reliance. They are encouraged to join in group activities and are taught basic skills of letter and numbered work – we provide equipment and materials designed to stimulate language – interest and the imagination –they range from books – pictures and displays – paints and easels – role play – baking – sand and water play.

At Trentfields Kindergarten we provide four different nursery rooms, which are all well planned and carefully organised and decorated to create a cosy warm and loving environment, where children and parent/carers enjoy a happy atmosphere. With our high ratio of well-qualified and experienced staff, our aim is to encourage children’s development in a loving learning, stimulating and homely setting. We cater for your child’s physical and intellectual development in each of the four rooms of the Nursery. The children learn through play, enjoying stories and rhymes, circle time, sand and water play, messy activities, role-play and music.
We aim to give children a broad and well-balanced day, including indoor and outdoor play to enable each child to develop emotionally, socially, linguistically, intellectually and physically. The four rooms consist of: -

Consists of four staff and seventeen children. The room is self-contained with a messy play area, carpeted area, sleep area, role-play area, kitchen and a bathroom /nappy changing room. The room offers a range of activities for the children these include sand/water play, messy activities such as painting, sticking as well as sensory experiences for example corn flour play, play-dough. There are also carpet activities such as puzzles, a role-play area, construction and musical activities. Nursery one follows “The Birth to Three Framework”.

Consists of three staff and 25 children. N2 is self contained offering a carpeted area, sleep area, messy play, kitchen and toilet areas.N2 follow the “Foundation stage” curriculum. Offering a range of activities such as sand/water play, messy activities, construction, a role play area, office, musical area, quiet area with cushions and books.

Consists of three staff and 29 children. Pre – School is self-contained offering carpet and messy areas, a role play area, kitchen and toilet areas. Pre – school follows the “Foundation Stage” curriculum. There are a range of activities available for the children such as Sand/water play, messy activities, construction, office / musical area.

Consists of three staff and 20 children. Pre – School plus is self-contained with messy and carpet area along with a role play area, kitchen/dining and toilet areas. Pre – School Plus also follow the “Foundation Stage” curriculum. There are a range of activities available for the children, as well as preparing them for their entry into school.
